What is the P-Shot, and how does it work?

The P-Shot is a non-surgical procedure that utilizes Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to rejuvenate penile tissue. We draw a small amount of your blood and use a centrifuge to isolate growth factors. When injected, these factors stimulate angiogenesis — the growth of new blood vessels — and repair damaged nerves, leading to improved blood flow and function.

What conditions are treated with the Priapus Shot®?

Erectile dysfunction — particularly mild to moderate cases caused by poor blood flow, diabetes or vascular issues
Peyronie's disease — where scar tissue causes the penis to curve painfully during erections
Reduced sensitivity — loss of sensation due to aging or nerve damage

Questions patients ask

Results vary between patients, and depend on age, health history and the underlying cause of the problem. The P-Shot is generally considered for mild to moderate erectile dysfunction with a vascular component rather than for every cause of ED. Dr. Siram will go through what the procedure can and cannot reasonably do in your particular situation at consultation.

Some patients feel an increase in sensation within days. However, tissue regeneration takes time — most men see peak results between three and four months post-injection. The benefits typically last between 12 and 18 months.

There is virtually no downtime. You can typically resume sexual activity the same day or within 24 hours of the procedure.

Because the P-Shot uses your own blood, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low. Local side effects are usually mild and short-lived — most commonly temporary redness or minor bruising at the injection site. Dr. Siram will go through the risks with you before you consent.
