Primary Care
Adult primary care, practiced the way it was taught
Board-certified internal medicine for patients 17 and older — the heart, lungs, liver and GI tract, kidneys and urinary tract, brain, spine, nerves, muscles and joints, all under one physician's care.
What internal medicine covers
Internal medicine is the specialty of adult diagnosis. We cover a wide range of conditions affecting the internal organs of the body — the heart, the lungs, the liver and gastro-intestinal tract, the kidneys and urinary tract, the brain, spinal column, nerves, muscles and joints.
That breadth is the point. Rather than routing you to a different specialist for every symptom, an internist holds the whole picture: how your blood pressure medication interacts with your kidney function, why a cough that will not settle deserves a spirometry rather than another antibiotic, which screening actually changes your odds at your age.
Services offered in the office
What a first visit looks like
A full history, not a form
We go through your past medical history, medications, family history and what you are actually worried about — in conversation, with time allowed for it.
Examination and in-office diagnostics
Where it is useful the same visit includes an EKG, spirometry, a urine dipstick, blood glucose or a lab draw, so you are not sent elsewhere and asked to return.
A plan you leave holding
You leave knowing the working diagnosis, what each medication is for, what we are watching, and when we will see you next.
